What You Will Do:

As a Monitor, you contribute to the community by:

  • Make bed checks and documents at the scheduled time as required.
  • Assumes supervision responsibilities in the absence of faculty.
  • Contact designated faculty as directed and notify them of problems and/or incidents.
  • Completes required forms for faculty intention meetings.
  • Serve as advisor and positive role model for assigned students.
  • Prevents, intervenes, and reports student altercations and incidents.
  • Administers First Aid and CPR during emergencies in accordance with the American Red Cross.
  • Conducts and practices emergency evacuation procedures.
  • Assists in maintaining facility grounds and keeping equipment in proper working condition.
  • Responsible for Critical Incidents and Incident reporting when occurs during scheduled shift.
  • Up-loading clinical supportive documentation (i.e.: motivation logs, intensions forms).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

What You Will Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Flexibility to work various overnight shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Minimal knowledge of contemporary substance abuse treatment practices in a residential setting.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to maintain sensitivity and objectivity under pressure generated through association with substance abuse students.
  • RADT certifiaction a plus!
